KROM Trust & Safety
Our Safety Philosophy
Shared travel only works when people feel safe, respected, and accountable.
KROM is built around real identities, real journeys, and structured coordination, not anonymity.
We do not optimise for speed or volume.
We optimise for trust, reliability, and community.
Identity Verification
Before any driver can post a trip on KROM, they must:
Submit a valid Ghana Card
Complete selfie identity verification
Undergo manual approval by the KROM team
Only verified drivers can list trips.
Riders must also complete account verification before booking.
KROM reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that fail verification checks or violate platform policies.
Transparent Profiles
Every KROM user has a visible profile that includes:
Name and profile photo
Verification status
Upcoming trips (for drivers)
Ratings and reviews (as the platform grows)
You always know who you’re booking with.
We encourage users to review profiles carefully before confirming a trip.
Secure Digital Payments
All bookings are processed securely on KROM.
No cash exchanges at pickup
No on-the-spot price negotiations
Payments are released after trip completion
We do not recommend off-platform payments. Transactions outside KROM are done at users’ own risk.
Reviews & Accountability
After each completed trip:
Riders and drivers may leave feedback
Repeated complaints are flagged internally
Confirmed misconduct results in suspension or removal
Community behaviour matters on KROM.
We take safety reports seriously and review incidents promptly.
Clear Cancellation & No-Show Policies
We understand that plans can change.
KROM has structured cancellation and no-show rules designed to protect both riders and drivers.
Full details are available in our Terms of Use.
Behaviour Standards
KROM is a professional community platform.
All users are expected to:
Treat others respectfully
Arrive on time
Communicate clearly before departure
Follow agreed pickup locations
Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct
Violations may result in immediate suspension.
During the Trip
We encourage users to:
Meet at well-known public landmarks
Confirm driver and vehicle details before departure
Inform a trusted contact of travel plans
Use in-app or WhatsApp communication for coordination
KROM facilitates connections between independent individuals. Drivers remain responsible for operating their vehicles safely and complying with all applicable road laws.
Incident Reporting
If something goes wrong:
Contact KROM via WhatsApp or email
Provide details and supporting information
Our team will review and respond
Safety-related concerns are prioritised.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We are building KROM deliberately and responsibly.
As the platform grows, we are working toward introducing additional safety layers, including structured trip protection in partnership with licensed providers, once operational and regulatory frameworks are finalised.
Every new feature, route, and partnership is tested against one question:
Does this make shared travel safer and more human?
If it doesn’t, we don’t ship it.
